I went to this Exhibition a few months ago, but forgot to blog about it! In October I visited MADEMOISELLE PRIVÉ, an exhibition showing the journey through Chanel’s creations, it was at the Saatchi Gallery and I went with my mum and sister. Chanel the brand and Karl Lagerfeld have been such an inspiration to me, so being able to walk through his creations was amazing. Each room had its own theme and was decorated accordingly. My favorite rooms were: the perfumery which had moving, smoking bowls of perfume, it was very dramatic and the room was filled with the smell of Chanel No.5. Another room that I spent a lot of time in was the Haute Couture room, filled with many of Chanel’s classic dresses. The dresses were on mannequins that had a light all the way through it, illuminating the garments in a dark room. As I studied fashion photography at University my favourite room was “Bijoux de Diamants”, portraits.
I am so glad I was able to visit this exhibition, it was absolutely breathtaking.
